Liebherr Repair Jobs and Surveys

My Liebherr refrigerator had problems in mid June 2026 and I called D3 appliance for diagnosis and repair. Their certified Liebherr service technician could not diagnose the problem and had to call Liebherr Technical Support. They said the problem was a failed main circuit board and they had none in stock and the part has been discontinued. I was told by D3 appliance repair to search the internet and eBay to see if I could find a new circuit board. After several weeks, I found a new board and it took 3 weeks to get a D3 technician out to install the board. That did not solve the problem and he called Liebherr Technical support and was lead to check several other components and found that there was another component I needed to replace and I could order it from Liebherr through D3. I did that and when that part came in, it took another 3 weeks to get a D3 technician to come out to install it. That did not correct the problem and he spent more time talking to Liebherr Technical Support. After trying different solutions, the Liebherr Technical Support person said he believed the main circuit board was wired incorrectly and he would text the wiring schematic to the D3 technician. That technician said he had spent too much time on this job and could not wait for the text and left. I had to call the Liebherr Technician Support person and talk to him to help diagnose the problem and he ended up texting me with the wiring schematic and showing me that two connectors must be reversed when the new circuit board was installed. It took another two weeks to get a D3 technician scheduled to correct that problem. On the day scheduled, he failed to show up at all and never contacted me that he was not coming. I contacted D3 the next morning and, even though they apologized, it took another week to get the D3 technician to come back. When he arrived, he inspected the circuit board and said it was wired correctly and proceeded to call Liebherr Technical Support once again. They could not diagnose the problem and concluded that the User Interface Panel must be the problem and it was a $1,000 part cost to replace and left with “Good Luck”. In summary, I felt the D3 “Liebherr Cetified Texhnicians” were not competent enough to diagnose and repair the problem on their own without the Liebherr Technical Support people walking them through every step of the process and that when any problem arose that took them longer than 45 minutes to fix, they were anxious to get out to their next job and would leave me stranded. By the way, I fixed most of the problem myself (with internet help) and now have an operating refrigerator and freezer, albeit without lights and not all control buttons working.
