6/26/26 BA: CC unit stopped making ice. Tech performed a self test on the ice maker and found no issues. Tech turned ice maker on at the controls and noticed that the water filter was not fully engaged into its holster not allowing water through. Tech removed the water filter and inspected the part. Tech asked the Cx where they had purchased the filter from Amazon. Tech explained that Amazon manufactured these filters too small to engage properly with the filter housing. Tech recommended to get an OEM filter from a local distributor and replace the filter with a new one.

"Found that capillary tube was clogged again so I replaced the filter dryer, pressure tested all joints and everything is checking okay no leaks found at time of service. Did a deep vacuum test and vacuum held for close to 10 minutes. Recharge with r134a and the freezer started cooling I was expected."
