Cycled icemaker operation normal. water comes in good and water dispenser operation is normal. Called tech line they indicated that unit was purchased 09/20/22. Tech indicated there have been some issues with popping. Need to adjust the filter drier at least at 45 degree angle should stop the noise. Did as instructed. Also customer will hear a sizzling noise and some water during the defrost cycle this is normal. As unit is removing frost that is on the evaporator. The water drips down into a holding pan where the water evaporates. Could see no issues with wiring etc all ok. Operation of unit is normal. Called safety team. Put water board under unit. once I got into unit and got plastic of agitator off found metal piece that is seized to gearcase shaft it too large to fit through hub or basket. as a result gearcase cannot be removed and unit is unrepairable. talked to Taylor and discussed. cust stated they have replacement assistance. advised that if that is the case xcel will be in touch to discuss next options for possible replacement
