Little bits of felt were smushed and not in the grooves they are supposed to be in. Put the dryer back together and did not hear the noise again. CX claims to have smelled a burnt smell coming from inside of drum after cycle completed. Stacked unit. I ran rinse and spin cycle. No noticable smells. Drum doesnt spin by hand very easily. I inspected the bearing from the back and it looks good. Im covinced that the inside bearing is going out and heating up creating the smell. The suspension is also bad. The unit is over 10 years old . I told CX a round about price of the repair and cx will probably buy new unit.
