removed MW took cover off unit. fan turns freely. found a dampner piece that sits ontop of transformer and pushes against cooling fan motor was causing fan asy to tilt just enough for fan to hit. removed and cut off damner just enough to fit snug under fan motor. also put some glue at base of it so it would stay in place. reinstalled and test ok.
