Called techline for options and recommendations. We tested vent fan was motor. It tests good so he recommends we replace drain pump as it's probably over heating. Will need drain pump. "Unit is gas range, complaint smoke inside unit during preheat, smell of plastic burned as well. Nothing inside of cavity, do see puffs of smoke but dissipates in seconds (all after 220 degrees). 320 smoke became more consistent. Took bake plate out found gasket ends pointing straight back into the flames. Adjusted ends to not be in the flame direction. Unit check ok."
